We provide thoughtful, practical support for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, ADD, and other learning differences — because every child deserves to thrive.
Please note: As a supplemental school, The Empowered Classroom makes reasonable efforts to follow IEPs and support individual learning needs within the limits of our class size, staffing, and program structure. While we strive to meet each student's needs as effectively as possible, we cannot guarantee fulfillment of every accommodation or service outlined in an IEP. Home educators remain ultimately responsible for their student's overall education.
We use structured literacy and Orton-Gillingham-inspired approaches to support students with dyslexia. Our educators understand that dyslexia is not a reflection of intelligence — it is simply a different way of processing language.
Writing can be a significant challenge for students with dysgraphia. We provide practical accommodations that allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and creativity without being limited by the physical act of writing.
Students with ADHD thrive with structure, movement, and variety. Our classroom environment and instructional strategies are designed to work with the ADHD brain, not against it.
For students with ADD who may struggle with attention without the hyperactivity component, we provide a calm, structured environment with strategies that help them stay focused and engaged.
We make reasonable efforts to review and implement IEP-related accommodations within our program structure, staffing, and classroom capacity. We partner with families to understand each student's plan and apply appropriate supports.
We believe that a learning difference is not a deficit — it is a different way of experiencing and processing the world. Many of history's greatest thinkers, inventors, and leaders had dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning differences. Our goal is to help every student discover their strengths, develop their skills, and grow in confidence.
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
